The FMA Translator uses the principals of CPM therapy to specifically address the problem of translation of the TMJ in the lateral and protrusive planes of movement. In many cases, vertical opening is enhanced through the application of translatory movement.
FMA Translator - Lateral CPM
Overview
The FMA-Translator is a continuous passive motion (CPM) device that utilizes two plates that rotate around each other to mobilize the users jaw laterally. This lateral motion--sliding your teeth across each other--works to slowly open up the joints and provide a full range of motion for the jaw and TMJ.
Benefits

- Increased range of motion through translation
- Decreased overall treatment time
- Improved jaw funciton
Sample Protocols
